Year 10 Results Event Assembly

‘Dream Big, Act Now, Never Give up and You’re Amazing’
This is the message the Year 10 students received from our guest speaker as they collect their first ever PPE results. These results are significant for a number of reasons: They mark the first set of exams this year group has done as a cohort (Covid 19 prevented students completing their Year 6 exams), and they are an indicator of students’ strengths and areas for development as we prepare ourselves for the last leg of the 5 year journey leading up to the final GCSE exams in 2026.
I am so proud of the progress students have made on this journey. Students’ attitude to the PPEs is a strong indicator of how much they care about succeeding and doing their best. We have seen students demonstrate being responsible during the process in attending optional period 6 sessions , aiming high in doing independent study in the library after school and being kind to each other in looking after each other during the examination period. This positive attitude will only lead to greater things to come, and I am looking forward to continue supporting students on the final leg of the journey in Year 11. It will be hard work, but I have every confidence that students will rise to the challenge and reap the rewards in getting the grades they truly deserve at the end of this journey.
I hope the pizza was to everyone’s liking and I can’t finish without saying thank you to everyone who supported in one capacity or another to make this possible. Year 11, never give up on YOUR dream, push against those barriers that will be in your way and we will continue to support you on this exciting last leg of the journey.
