School Council
We seek to involve students in their own learning, and as part of this we are keen to hear the students’ views on all aspects of their school life, and to offer them the opportunity to develop as citizens.
The School Council is an all inclusive organisation which provides opportunities for active citizenship and is designated to give every student at the school a voice. It enables the school to listen to students and get them involved in discussion and decision-making about school policies and other important areas. Each tutor group elects two students as tutor representatives, and from these two are elected from each year group as year representatives and selected to attend the regular full Student School Council Meetings.
The cycle of meetings runs as follows:
