Year 11 Prom & Leavers Assembly

The Brakenhale Year 11 Prom at St. Anne’s Manor was a fantastic celebration, marking the end of our students' Key Stage 4 journey. The evening was filled with laughter, joy and wonderful memories as students gathered to reflect on their time together over the last 5 years.

One of the highlights of the evening was the grand arrival, with an impressive line-up of cars pulling up to the venue and turning plenty of heads. Our students looked incredible in their sharp suits and elegant dresses radiating confidence and a sense of achievement.

Inside, the atmosphere was full of excitement as everyone caught up with friends, enjoyed the music, and danced the night away. The photo booth was especially popular, capturing both fun and heartfelt moments that will be cherished for years to come. Throughout the evening, our Year 11s were a credit to the school, demonstrating the maturity, respect, and positive spirit that have defined their time at Brakenhale.

It truly was a special night celebrating their achievements and the friendships they’ve formed. We are immensely proud of our students and wish them every success as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.

On 16th July, following their final Physics exam, our Year 11 students gathered for a very special Leavers’ Event, marking the end of their Key Stage 4 journey with us at Brakenhale and celebrating all they have achieved.

The event began with a Leavers’ Assembly led by Mr Hilton and Mr Collins. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the students’ five-year journey, with photos and stories shared that brought smiles, laughter, and the occasional tear. The assembly was also a chance to recognise some fantastic achievements, including the presentation of Amazon vouchers to our Champions of Champions Hour students, who maintained 100% attendance at Champions Hour during the first term of Year 11, a truly remarkable accomplishment.

After the assembly, students embraced the tradition of signing each other’s shirts. This year’s designs were particularly impressive, transforming shirts into colourful works of art and creating a vibrant display of friendship and memories.

The celebrations continued outside, where music played, ice-cream was enjoyed, and laughter filled the air as students and staff came together to mark this important milestone. It was a joyful and fitting farewell to a wonderful group of students, and we wish each of them the very best as they embark on the next chapter of their journey.
