Year 10 Whitechapel Trips

On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th January we offered an exciting opportunity for our GCSE History students to extend their learning on the historic environment of Whitechapel.

Students went to the National Archives to attend a workshop on Whitechapel and Jack the Ripper. They were able to access primary sources taken from the Metropolitan Police Letter Books, and the Jack the Ripper letters so that they could investigate why the police were unable to catch the murderer, the methods the police used and the impact the murders had on society.
