Our Student Leadership Team recently held a meeting to discuss exciting changes for Brakenhale School, including the selection of new House names inspired by mountains. After researching and sharing ideas, the Student Leadership Team participated in a vote to decide the final names, which will be revealed very soon, as we look to re-energise and rebrand our House system here at Brakenhale!

In addition to this, the team has been busy gathering the views from their peers about the types of extra-curricular activities they’d like the school to offer above what we already do and are busy researching and collaborating on ideas for engaging House Competitions to really help launch this after February half term.

Looking ahead, two members of the Student Leadership Team will represent Brakenhale at a GLT Student Council meeting on 12th February. There, they will share ideas about catering across GLT schools.

We have also launched and selected our very first members of our Eco-Council led by Mr Budden and we look forward to bringing you updates about what this team is getting up to in the next bulletin.
