High Expectation and Challenge for All

The purpose of the House system at The Brakenhale School is to encourage students to take an active role in the school and to encourage a strong feeling of being part of a community.

The current House system was created following a full consultation process undertaken by the whole School. The names of the houses reflect historical and present day influential people.

Megan, from the dance company, was really impressed by the standard and talent within the school and department, she found it really hard to select just 6 so she has picked 9.

Year 7 Cake Sale

Year 7 took part in charity bake sale between 1st and 4th February in aid of local charity Sebastian’s Action Trust.  The year group worked incredibly hard to plan, advertise, bake and sell throughout the event.  We presented a cheque for £367.18 to Sebastian’s Trust in the Year 7 assembly.

We would express our sincere thanks to parents, carers, and tutors for their special efforts in supporting the event

The boys did a fantastic pitch and then faced a panel of 7 judges who questioned them about their idea for their new app. Some of the judges were so impressed at their performance that they have offered a number of internships in their mobile and App development company.

The boys have shown great promise for the future.
