Dear Parents and Carers
The Governing Body of The Brakenhale School has decided that the school should become an academy and join the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
Having considered how to secure the best future for the school, the Governing Body concluded that the Greenshaw Learning Trust is the ideal partner to help us to continue Brakenhale’s journey of improvement and provide further opportunities for our pupils and staff.
The Governing Body submitted its initial proposal to the Department for Education’s Regional Schools Commissioner in December; the Commissioner has given approval for us to develop our proposal and consult with our stakeholders – including parents, staff and other partners.
Please see the enclosed leaflet for more information about the proposal.
We would like to hear your views and to have the opportunity to answer any questions.
You are invited to attend a consultation meeting at The Brakenhale School on Thursday 14th January from 2.00pm to 3pm or from 6.00pm to 7pm.
Or you can give your views or ask your questions:
• By completing the Response form
• By email to firstname.lastname@example.org
• By writing to: Jane Coley, Headteacher, The Brakenhale School, Rectory Lane, Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 7BA.
• By posting a response form in the ‘postbox’ in the school reception
Please let us have your views before 9th February 2016.
If the proposals proceed to plan and the necessary formal arrangements are agreed between the school, the Greenshaw Learning Trust and the Department for Education, the Governing Body hopes that Brakenhale will become an academy and join the Greenshaw Learning Trust in March 2016.
